The proposed PSPP is located in West Java near the border with Central Java, about 300 km south East of Jakarta on the Cijolang River. The adopted PSPP layout foresees a totally underground solution and, among other elements, it includes:
- Upper Reservoir, effective volume of 3,484,748m³, water operating level ranging from max 714m a.s.l. to min 684.5m.
- Underground powerhouse 53m high, with 4 Francis single stage reversible pump-turbine Units, each rated at 175MW or 225MW, for total 700 MW (5h generation) or 900 MW (4h generation) respectively.
- Lower Reservoir, with an effective volume of 3,503,480m³ and operating level ranging from max 272.8m a.s.l. to min 290.8m.
- Outdoor 500 kV switchyard dispatching power through 500 kV transmission line.
ELC (along with a JV partner) was engaged to conduct Pre-feasibility Study Update and Feasibility Level Design.

Actual services provided by ELC within the assignment are the following:
